Here the richness of the biodiversity of flora and fauna is recognized as a Biosphere Reserve by the Unesco ecological network. According to the Asolo Prosecco Method protocol, sustainable and responsible techniques are used in the vineyards to safeguard the territory and the landscape in every phase of the cultivation, respecting nature and people.
We have always cultivated flowers, mixed hedges and shrubs with a high melliferous potential that attract bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects. Our hedges also help the whole surrounding environment. They are the main refuge and food source for insects, birds and hedgehogs and embellish the landscape with abundant and prolonged blooms.
Particular attention is paid to the recovery of rainwater and the reuse of waste water
which since 1952 has been used for the irrigation of gardens and vegetable gardens through natural settling tanks.
The Hermitage is equipped with 4.0 sustainable technologies and renewable energy sources,
sources, such as heat pumps and biomass boilers. All waste is destined for
separate collection and the wet part is used as a fertilizer for the greenery.
